Rebecca Sonne
Associate AttorneyRebecca Sonne works as an associate attorney for Clouthier Law, PLLC. Rebecca discovered her passion for appellate law while a judicial intern for the Honorable Laura Carter Higley at the First Court of Appeals during the summer of 2018. She later worked as a law clerk for Carmen Roe Law Firm, where she gained even more experience working on various state and federal appeals and petitions for writs of habeas corpus.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2020. While in school, she actively participated in six moot court competitions, and she won two prestigious briefing awards. Rebecca also was a Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Law Review, and she became a published author due to her excellent writing skills. Due to her efforts, Rebecca was chosen to join both the Order of Barristers and National Order of Scribes. Rebecca also received the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section’s Award for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy for the University of Houston Law Center.
In her free time, Rebecca teaches middle school girls at Houston’s First Baptist Church and mentors the University of Houston Law Center moot court team.
