When a case goes up on appeal, whether it be a complex civil matter, a family law matter, or any other type of appeal, mediation sometimes proves successful even if prior attempts at dispute resolution failed. Our mediators request a confidential memorandum prior to mediation with the parties’ legal positions, points of error, and other factual information. This enables the mediator to utilize our appellate experience to facilitate productive settlement discussions based on our ample experience navigating cases in the courts of appeals.
